We are excited to have our Company Auditions this Friday from 4:30-7pm! Ages 5-17 with dance experience, boys and girls that want to train with the best and take dance to the next level! We hope to see you at the audition!

We are also developing a Performance Team for the Fall! If you are interested in Performing, please contact me, keally@southtulsandanceco.com.

Recital is almost here, just 4 weeks away! Lots to do and very, very, busy!! But, I would not have it any other way!!

I am very blessed to have the best staff at both studios and so happy I get to teach children the love of dance all day!! Tulsa has blessed me with the opportunity to teach dance for 13 years!!

Hi All!

Well today was a great turn out for Student Appreciation and Fall Enrollment! We had a lots of food and fun with the jupiter jump, face painting and more! Thanks to Bailey, Emma, Abbie and Hannah for all of their help too!

Next week is picture week and then this Friday is a dress rehearsal for Peter and the Wolf and Cinderella at BAPAC!

Just two short weeks until the recital, hope everyone is excited!

We had the biggest and best turn out for auditions for competition teams, thank you!

StarQuest in Kansas City

Congrats to Abbie Evans, Bailey Evans, Troy Herring, Arielle McKenna and Kelly Dankbar!
They traveled to Kansas City to participate in StarQuest! It was a hard competition but they came home with first place overall, the highest scoring award all weekend and won $400! We are so proud of you all!

South Tulsa Dance Co. February Newsletter

Dance Shoe Exchange: Please remember to drop off your outgrown dance shoes (little ones have been complaining of shoes being to small). We will take your shoes until February 20th. Just let us know what size you need and if that size is donated, we will happily hold them for you!

Monday, February 16th: STDC will be OPEN on President's Day.

Spring Recital Fees: The recital fee will come out of your account with your March tuition (as stated upon enrolling). The fees are $45 for one child, $65 for two children, $75 for a family of three or more. This includes admission to the recital for the whole family/friends and a keepsake program.

Spring Break: STDC will be CLOSED Monday, March 16-Saturday, March 21st.

Recital Date: Saturday, May 16th and Sunday, May 17th. Dress Rehearsals will be held starting Friday, May 15th. The March newsletter will explain in detail which day your class will rehearse and perform. Please keep all of the above dates open until you hear further details.

Cinderella Performance: Thank you Ms. Barbara, Leslie Ward and Ms. Kara for organinzing the performance at the PAC. We had a great attendace with over 90 students and families. It was fun and we hope to get to offer it to you again with future Ballets.

Competition Team: Congrats to all of the CT members! This weekend at Talent on Parade, held at TCC, was a huge success for every member and we are so proud of you all! Picture shown is 9 year old, Sarah Noble, dancing her solo to "Mississippi."

Dancers and siblings can enjoy a night of fun at the studio while you shop for the Holiday’s! New this year, you can shop at STDC before you head out and you can also let your kids shop for mom, dad and grandparents! We will have fun stocking stuffers and gifts will include rhinestone socks, flip flops, handbags by “purse-a-nality”, stationary and much more! The Parent’s Night Out in October was a big hit, if you missed that one you don’t want to miss the Drop N Shop! Registration forms are at the front desk or with your instructor. You may also call us and reserve your spot over the phone, 369-5299 or e-mail Leslie Ward, leslie@southtulsadanceco.com. We look forward to seeing you this Friday night!

In Class Christmas Performance is coming up soon!
The Christmas dance performances will be during class starting Saturday, December 13th and ending on Friday, December 19th. Your class will have a regular class during the first half of class and then they will put on “rented” costumes for the performance. After the short performance we will enjoy cookies and punch, please look for the sign up sheet on your dance room door to volunteer to bring something. Invite anyone you want and let’s celebrate the joyous season together! The cost of the performance is $5 and will be charged with your December tuition unless you notified the front desk and already paid with cash or check.

Join us in the Bixby Parade!
STDC dancers will be in the Bixby Parade on Friday, December 12th and we would love for you to join us! You will no longer need to purchase a long sleeve t-shirt (since it will most likely be cold and you will be wearing a coat), but you will be asked to wear black and we will be have white gloves and hats with the STDC logo for you to borrow. Please e-mail Leslie Ward for any questions or to sign up. A sign up sheet is also at the front desk. If you would like a t-shirt to wear in the parade, they will be ordered this Wednesday. We are planning to have a trailer for young children to sit in with their parent, and then ages 6-teens will be walking in the parade. It will be FUN!

Top Scores at Nationals!!!!

STDC took high scores and overalls in Dallas!

We would like to congratulate all of the 31 dancers that attended Starlight Dance Nationals June 11-14! We had a fabulous time and came home with many trophies and three overall places! We are so proud of all of the dancers and look forward to growing even more next season!

Highlights of the week were:

Junior Jazz "Coffee Break" received 2nd overall, $200 cash and $200 towards next season.
Mini Jazz "Trouble" received 2nd overall, $200 cash and $200 towards next season.
Mini Duet, Sarah Noble and Morgan Fine " Bad to the Bone" received 2nd overall, $100 cash and $100 towards next season!

Thank you Ms. Kristin, Mr. Michael and Ms. Hilary for all of your hard work and thank you parents for your continued support!
